Crista Cullen Named as First Heraean Ambassador

Crista Cullen, the Olympic gold and bronze medal-winning hockey star, has  been announced as the Heraean's first official ambassador. Crista, recently retired after scoring in the 2016 Olympic final in Rio de Janeiro, is a prominent member of the London Sporting Club and is delighted to support our women in sport and business club. She said:

"I think it is a very exciting time to be working in the area of both sport and business and The Heraean a division of the London Sporting Club gives women a platform to prosper with likeminded people within the industry. Coming from a successful women’s team sport it is important that people realise the correlations and the benefit that athletes with different perspectives bring. Women’s team sports in general are on the up, from Hockey to Cricket, Rugby & Football and now the most recent Netball, it is an exciting time for Women's sport in Great Britain to showcase just how competitive and hardworking these girls are, so that future stars can emulate them. There are plenty of obstacles, post sporting career that you just don’t realise when you are in the "bubble", but with an element of careful planning and a motive for a new challenge, I don’t think you can go far wrong."
