The London sporting club enjoyed its business breakfast today where our special guest was the CEO of the International Cricket Council David Richardson.
David, a former South African test batsman and wicketkeeper, spoke at length about his own experiences as a player – this included South African sport being re-admitted into international sport after the release of Nelson Mandela and also the match-fixing scandal with his former captain Hansie Cronje – but also the challenges facing cricket today. This included test cricket, T20, the women’s game, corruption and the globalisation of the sport. The packed audience of leading figures in sport and business enjoyed breakfast and a major networking opportunity as well.
