One of the greatest sportsmen of all time was the star of the show last night in London's Knightsbridge in front of a packed, star-studded audience at the London Sporting Club's Gala Dinner.
Sugar Ray Leonard was in spellbindingly good form as he talked about his life and times in and out of the boxing ring as everyone in the filled-to-the-rafters ballroom at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower clung on to his every word. His interview was the finale of a fantastic night which also saw the likes of Graeme Souness, Les Ferdinand, Troy Deeney, Derek Redmond, Jamie Baulch and a host of former boxers including Michael Watson and "Snatch" star Scott Welch in the house.
Funds were raised for Best Beginnings - CEO Alison Baum made a speech - and for WBC Cares, the auction expertly led by the hilarious Adrian Davis, and the silent auction by Jamie Baulch.
But the main man was, of course, Sugar Ray. The LSC were honoured to stage such a night with such a star.
